Course duration: 1/2 day (4 hrs)

Course objectives: To provide delegates with information on Principles of working at height.

Course target delegates: Any delegates who have a requirement to work at height.

Delegates will gain an understanding of:

• Regulations related to work at height.

• Employee/Employer responsibilities.

• Hazard identification.

• Safe working practices

• Accident causes.

• Types of Ladder and their safe use.

• Permanent scaffolds.

• Mobile scaffold towers.

• MEWP's (Mobile elevated work platforms)

• Fall Arrest/Protection systems.

• Trestles.

• Roof/Fragile surface work.

• Risk assessment.

Delegates will carry out classroom exercises, example risk assessments, report writing practice, and a practical assessment with written paper to display understanding.

They will also receive all relevant course materials and support papers.

All Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
