Course duration: 1 day (8 hrs)

Course objectives: To enable delegates to understand,comply & assess in conformance with C.O.S.H.H. regulations.

Course target delegates: Managers, safety officers, responsible persons.

Delegates will gain an understanding of:

• Defining substances.

• Methods and types of exposure.

• Regulations (C.H.I.P, C.L.P, R.E.A.C.H. & G.H.S)

• Hazard identification Symbols.

• Hazard labels.

• Material Safety Data sheets.

• What is C.O.S.H.H.

• Approved codes of Practice (ACoPs)

• C.O.S.H.H Requirements.

• C.O.S.H.H specific Risk assessment.

• Reporting and monitoring.

Delegates will carry out classroom exercises, example C.O.S.H.H. assessments, report writing practice, and a practical assessment with written paper to display understanding.

They will also receive all relevant course materials and support papers.

All Delegates will receive a certificate of attendance.
